The Hobie 16 one design division has been eliminated due to
inadequate numbers of cats qualifying |
| |
during the 2003 racing season. Two new cat divisions
have been formed based on Portsmouth |
| |
numbers and on the number of boats participating in the
racing program. |
| |
|
| 2 |
The "Open High Division" will include all cats with
Portsmouth numbers greater than or equal to "70". |
| |
This division includes, but is not limited to the following:
H16, H16, H17, H18, Mystere. This |
| |
division will sail two laps of a windward/leeward course
with a start/finish on the weather leg. |
| |
|

The "Open Low Division" will include all cats with
Portsmouth numbers less than "70". This division |
| |
includes, but is not limited to the following: H20, Inter18,
Tiger, Nacra 6.0 (and hew high perform- |
| |
ance cats). This division will sail three laps of a
windward/leeward course with a start/finish on the |
| |
weather leg. |
| |
|
| 4 |
All cats will sail an AC course to the outside (pink) marks.
There will no longer be an offset mark |
| |
needed for the cats. All cats will start at the same
time. |
| |
|
| 5 |
The cat fleet captain will notify the race officer no later
than fifteen minutes prior to the harbor |
| |
warning signal of a change in the number of laps to be
sailed (two laps instead of three laps) due to |
| |
light wind conditions. When the "Open Low Division"
cats decide to change to two laps they shall |
| |
post two laps on the cat bulletin board prior to the harbor
warning signal. |
