Sailing at CSA

Day Sailing

Day Sailing refers to any one going sailing for the fun of sailing and not participating in any competition.   A part of everyone's sailing experience will be day sailing.  Beginner's day sail to learn the basis of sailing their Scot; experienced sailors day sail for fun, practice, and  to give friends a great sailing experience on the Flying Scot.  The Flying Scot is excellent for this as it accommodates 4 adults quite easily. Any Scot owner and crew are welcome to participate in all Flying Scot activities, i.e. simply joining others for lunch at the picnic tables up on the hill, helping out with the festivities associated with regattas,  and serving on race committee for Sunday club races.  These are all excellent ways to fellowship and learning more about sailing your Scot.

If you are a new boat owner and are wondering how to just get started to even day sail, check out our Adult Sailing Program at CSA

Flying Scot Racing

Beginning May 1, club races are held each Sunday.  Although all classes of monohull boats at CSA race together, Flying Scots compete only with other Flying Scot boats.  The  detailing of the racing program can be found on the CSA website at Racing Program and Racing Rules
