Let CSA help you learn to sail...

Each different type or class of boat will normally form a fleet. For instance, the Flying Scot fleet is obviously dedicated to enjoying the Flying Scot class boat. The fleets conduct a multitude of organized functions throughout the year, both during the sailing season and during the winter months. Most fleets hold meetings and function throughout the off season so please visit our Fleets page for contacts and more information each fleet.

For those interested in the thrill, speed and exhilaration of hiking out on a catamaran or just want to have a ton of fun getting wet, contact Dave Leimbach or Josh Dougherty of the Catamaran Fleet.

If you prefer more of the relaxing experience cruising Lake Carlyle in a cabin boat, please contact the Cabin Boat Fleet or Cal Guthrie of the San Juan Fleet. Many other makes, models and types of boats are sailed at CSA and you are invited to contact Dave Leimbach for questions regarding boats not listed elsewhere.

If you are looking for a family day-sailer that is stable and fun while also being a competitive racer, please contact Bronson Bowling of the Flying Scot Fleet.

Our junior program offers many opportunities for children beginning as young as 8. Please visit the Junior Sailing page or follow the link at the top of the page for more information on Jr. Sail Camp.

If technical mastery of a boat to make it reach it's full potential is more your interest, contact Carson Menges of the Lighting Fleet or Jack Klug of the Y-Flyer Fleet.

Learning to sail in St Louis could not be made easier and our instructors are eager to offer a multitude of learn to sail in St Louis opportunities. Sailing in St Louis at CSA is a unique experience in that the facilities at CSA have attracted top level national competitions. CSA truly does offer the best sailing in St Louis as well as Southern Illinois and has by far the best learn to sail in St Louis programs and could very well be one of the best in Midwest sailing.
